Where Can I Find Activities Specific to My Curriculum?
Alberta Education did a great job of collaborating to create activities specific to the new program of studies and to the pedagogy of the new math classroom. The following link will take you to a folder containing multiple resources developed specifically for our classrooms and for us as teacher. Gr 4- 6 Math Resources
LearnAlberta has some great resources that can be used both online and offline, at school or at home. LearnAlberta has resources specific to you as a teacher as well as different resources for your students. For example:
Planning Guides - these guides were developed to help explore some of those tougher outcomes for students to conceptually understand or for teachers to assess. Each guide contains planning sections, background understanding for the teacher, how this particular outcome is linked to the grade before and the grade after and different assessments and activities for whole group, small group or one-on-one. They also include ideas of differentiation.
Search by Outcome - locate a specific outcome within your program of studies to find out what teacher and student resources are aligned on LearnAlberta
AAC - The Alberta Assessment Consortia (AAC) is updating their website with performance assessments for the new program of studies
